The Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition (Vietnam Foodexpo) is the largest and most comprehensive event in the Vietnamese food industry. It is part of the annual National Trade Promotion Program, hosted annually by the Ministry of Industry and Trade since 2015.
This year's exhibition attracts the participation of 300 booths from over 20 provinces and cities nationwide, along with numerous large domestic and international enterprises in the fields of processed foods, agricultural products, and seafood. The exhibition booths are presented using virtual reality technology, providing vivid images and display materials, accompanied by various forms of interaction to connect with domestic and international partners.
Delivering the opening speech at the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai stated that in 2021, the Vietnamese food industry faced immense difficulties and challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which disrupted supply and consumption chains and directly affected the production and business situation in both domestic and international markets.

In order to resolve difficulties, accompany, and provide timely support to businesses, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has recently been closely coordinating with other ministries, sectors, and localities to promote the application of information technology and digital platforms in trade promotion and brand advertising. Among these efforts, the Virtual Vietnam Foodexpo plays a crucial role in helping enterprises maintain business cooperation and expand export markets effectively, thereby responding to and actively participating in the digital transformation process.
Also within the framework of the exhibition, on December 7, the Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the Vietnam Food Industry International Conference (Vietnam FoodForum 2021) under the theme "Agricultural products and food: Adaptation – Transformation – Acceleration". The conference focused on discussing the "acceleration" prospects of the Vietnamese food industry and solutions to help food businesses transform to meet new trends in the global market.
Featuring green-skinned pomelo products under the "Cô Gái Bưởi Hồng" (Pink Grapefruit Girl) brand, the Ben Tre Green Pomelo Cooperative participated in the exhibition at the booth named Vietnam Cooperative Enterprise Development (VCED) Project. During the 4 days of the exhibition (from December 7 to 10), it is expected that over 5,000 trading and business matching transactions will be connected through the exhibition's online platform.
