In 2018, the project has achieved some positive results. According to the VCED Project Management Board, in 2019, the project will focus on building the Multifunctional Complex, which is expected to start in April 2019 and be completed in October 2019, with an estimated cost of about VND 14 billion. sponsored by SOCODEVI. With the construction of a multi-functional complex, the Green Pomelo Agricultural Cooperative of Ben Tre province will have all the facilities to operate. At the same time, it helps to buy, process and export grapefruit and grapefruit products modernized, ensuring the environment and quality according to international standards, contributing to raising incomes for people in particular. and the image and brand of green pomelos in Ben Tre province in general.
Speaking at the Workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Lap affirmed that the policy of developing production under the cooperative economic model associated with the value chain is an inevitable trend, in accordance with the actual conditions and situation. of the local. At the same time, the Vice Chairman assigned the People's Committee of Chau Thanh district to lead and coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to contact and support the Green Pomelo Agriculture Cooperative in Ben Tre Province to carry out the land lease procedures in accordance with the regulations. for the multifunctional complex to be completed and put into operation soon.
